This is just a personal work to enjoy my school break. This painting according to a Vietnamese folk tale about the war of the Mountain God (Son Tinh) and Water God (Thuy Tinh). After fail in the contest to marry to the extraordinary beautiful princess My Nuong, Water God Thuy Tinh got angry, he was leading the sea monsters and used his power to raising the water to get My Nuong back from Mountain God Son Tinh. The Mountain God and his animal legion fight back and raised the land even higher. The war is repeating every year and it is also a metaphor of the war between human and the nature disaster.
I painted it in Photoshop and Painter, it is the lagest file I have work on ever, about 2 Gigabite with minimum layers.

Old work, a funny portrait of my favorite musician Ozzy Osbourne, this picture is one of my first digital painting, it’s about 3 years ago. I used a picture on his album for reference and paint it out of proportion to give him the humor looks. Unfortunatlly I couldn’t find any information about the photographer who’s took the original picture, so I can't gave him credit. Anyway it’s just a personal work for tribute to Ozzy, hope he (photographer) don’t mind.

Accoding to the Vietnamese myths, Lac Long Quan (Dragon Lord of Lạc) was the father, the first King of Lac Viet. In the age of chaos, he is the one who killed monsters and helped Viet people to cleared waste land for cultivation. Lac Long Quan with his fairy wife Au Co gave birth to 100 egg-born babies, the original Vietnamese.

hi guys, this is an assigment for my "concept-technic" class, I choose digital medium because I thought that if I have used traditional medium for this piece, it might took forever to paint. I got this idea after finished the previous project called "Ivanhoe". In this painting I want to created a different Ivanhoe, with the dark side of him showing by his eyes, cold expression, simple pose and mystic lighting.

this is a final concept sketch for my schoolwork, the phrase is: "It had been a struggle to escape". The subject matter is the Kingmonkey broke the "Crucible of the Eight Trigrams" and turn to immortal. Because by that crucible, Lord Lao Tzu makes the Pills of Immortality, a single pill will guarantee eternal life. And the kingmonkey has been a prisoner in that things for 49 days and nights (sure he took alots of pills )

This is about a legend taken from the ancient Chronicles of my country:
When Co Loa was attacked by Trieu Da, the king of a neighbouring country, Kim Qui (the Golden Turtle God) assisted him to make a magical cross-bow which created a rain of arrows upon foreign invaders. However, the arrogance of victory caused him to lose vigilance, and he allowed his daughter My Chau to marry Trieu Da’s son. His son-in-law Trong Thuy exchanged a counterfeit crossbow and brought the true one to his father Trieu Da.After that, Trieu Da attacked King An Duong Vuong’s country, and the poor King was defeated, and fled with his daughter. By arrangement with Trong Thuy, My Chau left a trail of peacock feathers for her husband to follow; allowing the enemy to follow King An Duong Vuong’s every move. When the father and daughter came to the sea, Kim Qui God appeared and revealed the trail of feathers, forcing King An Duong Vuong to kill his daughter My Chau and jump into the sea. From a deep love and compassion for My Chau, Trong Thuy then also killed himself in a well.
